Hi Emma,

Would cod liver oil be an option or even aloe vera? I have heard great reports on skin and hair condition when pet owners have used either of them as a supplement in their diet daily.

Worth a try, eh?
Agreed on the Aloe Vera, Forever Living Products are great and they have some great stuff for all sorts. Cod liver oil is great in moderation, but Cod is also over fished at the moment so be sure you check the sources of the fish oil and it might be worth looking into other Omega 3 fish oils.
Following on from Steph, a vet colleague of mine (acupuncture vet who treats Rosie) told me to be careful when using cod liver oil and not to overdose as it can affect the liver. Rosie is a german sh pointer weighing 35kgs and she gets one tablet daily.
Yeah this is what I've heard too which is why i mentioned using it in moderation. also here is a link to a leave in conditioner with Aloe http://www.aloehealthuk.com/store/product_details.aspx?product=55030

It's used for many other things as well. Might prove very useful!
