The scarring is ok. His sight is fine as the scar is from his previous vet just giving the same meds and not investigating further (I know this as I worked for them) rather than the breeder wanting it done.

I will try and get a piccie if I can of his eye, it weeps now and again. I keep it clean and occassionally he needs zorvirax. Not needed any in about 2 years now.

Re: Calicivirus

Awww. It was never investigated at the breeders and had eye problems resulting in scarring from a young age. When I got him (3 years old) a vet at work was studying for his opthalmology certificate.
They're on Ronaxan, Tiacil and Metacam. Gonna have a chat with my boss about Intereron. Mable looks SO much better and has started tormenting the dogs again and has pulled the ears and eyes off her plague rat so she's definately on the mend.
When I got with hb, noticed she had awful trouble eating, and was so miserable.

Took her in to look at - had horiffic stomatitis so took all her molars out, pumped her full of metacam & antirobe for about 8 weeks & she made a really good recovery from it all.

Would've gone for interferon, but at £150 a vial, at the time, this wasn't an option.

However, she is 10 now & is a very happy little kitty! She sneezes occasionally & gets a sticky eye sometimes, but it really doesn't seem to affect her everyday life in the slightest
