It's nosy neighbours that often report poeple not coming out of their house, when they normal do! So don't jump the gun. I know it makes you feel uncomfortable and you should always be wary of strangers, so prehaps you could just causly say hi and wave at him next time you leave? Find out if there is a local neighbourhood watch? Speak to you local SNT (safer neighbourhood team) police officer (regular bobby assigned to your street!) or PCSO (these support officers will assist the SNT teams.)and they can assist if you are really frightened .

Re: Odd neighbour! - any advice?

Ik! That's really weird.....

The man across the road from mew used to stand in his driveway & stare across at me & my sister, we nicknamed him freaky-peeky & I think he must've got wind of it in the end as he doesn't do it anymore.

I think you have a case to ring the police on 101 about this, (assuming you have this service where you live - it's the number to rinfg if you're worried about something but ti's not urgent enough for 999)

He might have history of being weird or even previous warnings/convictions for his behaviour....

Re: Odd neighbour! - any advice?

sounds a bit creepy to me!

i had a neighbour who used to always be waiting at his front door when i brought the dogs in from a walk. im convinced he heard my front door shutting and would wait outside till i got back. he was like the neighbour hood watch guy, he seemed to know absolutely everything that was going on in the street, even before it actually happened sometimes!! he turned out to be a pretty nice wee oldish guy, harmless really. but i was a bit paranoid at the start cos i didnt really know what he was up to. but after i got speaking to him, he was ok!

im not sure what you should do....i would wave at him when hes staring in your door/window and see what happens. does he speak to you?
