Does anyone know an easy way to remove glue from a bunnys ear? My poor baby bunny was critical a couple of weeks ago and he had a catheter in his ear. The vet glued it in. He's now well and at home but has lots of glue still on his ear. Now, I

Re: Glue on rabbits ear

I would also leave well enough alone Button, especially it it isnt annoying him.

may be really obvious, but if the glue is on hair then just clip it?

if on skin then I would just leave it if causing no probs, and your vet sounds like a star!

Nah, its on his skin because he clipped his ear. I might just leave it and see what happens...

I'm very grateful to the vet. I should of called whoever was on OOH duty but that particular practice doesn't have any exotic vets. He's an absolute star!

Re: Glue on rabbits ear

sorry caro was having a childish moment!

Re: Glue on rabbits ear

may be really obvious, but if the glue is on hair then just clip it?

The vet who did is an exotic vet too - I think he put the glue on as it was really tricky getting the catheter in in the first place as he's super tiny with super tiny veins. Plus he was at deaths door and I don't think he wanted to risk it coming out over night as he really needed the fluids. I'm just grateful to him - he wouldn't be alive if it was for the vet (who drove out to my clinic especially to treat him in the night).

Re: Glue on rabbits ear

Carry on with bad puns, i love 'em!
