Some of my other half's neighbours decided to have a firework display a couple of weeks ago, his dog wasn't bothered by them, but came in from the garden the next day with part of a firework in his mouth...

I had the same problem Les, but I did find the zykene CD worked better for Buddy than the sounds scary one. No idea why though

This weekend I have heard quite a few freworks, scared the living daylight out of me. But Im thinking that these ones are being let of by kids as they are just going off randomly

tilking about fireworks, iv had 2 clients come for sed after they have tried with sounds scarey cd. Up until the actual night the animals were absolutely fine with the cd, so I was a bit disappointed to hear this!

In Tenerife despite their lacsadasical attitude to using foreworks you need a specail permit to do your own display there is lots of organised ones instead.

Isnt there some law about when fireworks can be held over here l seem to remember at one point?

I will definately be complaining if I find out exactly who it was - I couldn't see over the walls! I have no idea what they were celebrating some sort of chav holiday judging by most of my neighbours - perhaps they got a benefit increase -_- sorry that was bitchy I'm just so frustrated. Nick is right there is always lots locally why do people do this?

And to top off my day I'm waiting to do an ex-lap on a very naughty dog who keeps vomiting diarrhoea like stuff alll over the practice! The joy

I really don't understand why so many people insist on having back garden bonfire displays! There are so many local professionally organised ones about. Really makes me angry. I remember as a kid our neighbours having a back garden fireworks display and fireworks were actually hitting our house. Our pets were going mental. Think it's very unnecessary and selfish!

Yup, Nov 14th is underrated.......... my neighbours thought so to and had a firework display that lasted 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my wee JRT was a quivering wreck. I have a good mind for next year to make up some flyers and post them through doors in the neighbourhood just incase they have no idea of the effects these dam things have on some animals. Also My rabbit was going nuts too! I heard her kicking and thumping aay when they were going off.

complaints should be made to you local council environmental heath officer - prob wont make that much difference but they do have to log the complaint. may be worth asking other neighbours if they have had problems with their pets too.
