Well done!!! It is the greatest feeling, yet at the same time so sad when you hand rear successfully and it leaves for its new home. Miss all my old babies!

This is a perfect example of why veterinary nurses are the best people in the world!!!!!!!!

just an update, pup now with owners, she doing so well, now 5 1/2 wks old , am really missing her too, they bring her to see me now and again, shes a proper litle pup now!!!

Wow, good for you, fantastic work!! I've just taken on a 7week shih tzu X puppy - my first ever dog and BOY is it hard work!!!! I can't even imagine what a challenge your little one must be. Sooo adorable though - I'm only on day 3 and I love her already

ahh thanku, its been tiring but so rewarding as we didnt think shed get past her first day, i had her brother too, but he died in the night on day 2, we dont know why, she should be able to go back to her owners in 2 weeks, i shall be very lost without her, but sleeping thru the night again will be bliss!!! they have made me godmother so that will be nice!!

Gorgeous pics Finnigan You should be so proud of yourself for getting the little pup so far!!

I am sure it is soooo rewarding!! I couldnt do it though, as I would just want to keep them lolol!! Sure look what happened when I fostered Seven Ravens Rae - I ended up keeping him as I just couldnt bring myself to part with him, I'm too soft!!!!

Latest up date, pup is doing really well, pooing for england, now 4 weeks old, started weening ,oh what a mess, doing well , walking like a proper puppy instead of tummy shuffling and gave her first little yap yesterday and wagged her tail too!! hopefully going back to owners when 6-7 wks old, i will really miss her and have got very attached, she even knows my name and comes forward towards me when i call her. i would love to do this kind of thing fulltime, i have loved every minute of it, sleepless nights and all, its been so rewarding,

oh thanku , im so worried, have managed to get this far, was just a day old when came in almost dead, but she is so adorable and ive never done this before but its been so rewarding, just waiting for her to poo today and ill be exstaitic!!!

I had reared my pup...he is 3 now, this happen to me also, he was going really well, and then nothing for a few days, to say I was worried was an understatement! I was like a first time parent and when I got a poo out of him I was so proud of his achievement! So what I did was very gently gave him an enema, using a 1 ml syringe, 0.1/0.2ml of tepid water nice and slowly, just to get it all going...he pooped that day, it was probably about 3-4 inches long! Good luck to you...its not easy, the two hourly feeds, the constant worry if they will poop
