Yes its all confusing the training times, especially now your portfolio has to be complete and signed off in the first place! You can make an addition on the form as to what date the portfolio was handed back and get it signed off. Otherwise your enrollment through to passing practicals is all training time so this should be more than the necessary 94 weeks.

i think i will just count how many weeks it has been since I enrolled until I passed my practical exam. Its just a bit confusing because you have to have your record of training filled in and complete for when you hand your portfolio in so when you get it back do you just add to it and get your practice principal to sign it again??

Have you worked out how many hours you've done? Your hours can start from as soon as you enrolled, so even if you didn't start college etc for a while after, these still count. As you are still a student according to the RCVS, if you completed your 94 weeks after the practicals it won't be a problem now as that would then be the date you complete your training.

well I completed both my portfoilios pretty quickly so this is why I wanted to check because there is no way that time would even come close to 94 weeks, Hopefully it will be up til I completed my practicals.

Remember whatever the date, you need to enure that you have done all your hours!

For me when i registered this year, because im on the BSC vet nursing I had a few more hours to do, only by a week or so. So my date was once I had done all the hours required.

I think its the date you complete your practicals (if this is your last exam) as you are still technically training up until all exams are complete. This is what one of the students told me, but double check with RCVS!

oh thats ok then, I passed my practical on 22nd oct so should I put that as my finish date of being in training???
