Thanks guys!

He's not limping at all now. The vet thinks something has punctured a hole (only tiny, no longer visible) between his toe and main pad and caused a slight infection. We don't think there is a fb there because there is so little swelling, and it's started to heal on it's own. It is obv less sore cos he let us have a better look at it yesterday than he let me on sunday, he just laid down trying to lick! The scuffed bit on the pad has pretty much healed itself already, it was quite well protected cos it wasn't on a bit of the pad that he'd walk on, it was on the edge. He's on a weeks course of antib's and am bathing it in salt water after walks to keep it clean.

So it will heal up nicely!

I hope Jack is feeling better!!

Have you tried putting a sock on him (if he will let you??!?) just to protect that pad a bit if its sore? Did you fine anything in his foot at work?

I bathed it with hibi, he didn't like it very much. Seems to be limping less now though. There is a small swollen bit and the main pad is a bit scuffed.

It cant do any harm to bath it a bit im sure a more experienced nurse will be able to give u better advise in a while.
