We never know when we're going to have heating and have to take any chance to have a shower, cos we never know when the hot water will next come on!

The plumber has changed nearly every part in the boiler and it still won't work. The only part left to replace is really expensive, and our landlady still doesn't know he's replaced the other parts, so we're going to be in a lot of trouble when she gets back from holiday (on our rent money no doubt!).

We spend nearly every day freezing cold and it's really starting to get to us. I'm getting grumpy with my boyfriend cos I'm cold all the time and he's getting annoyed at me cos I'm taking it out on him! Argh!

Flatmates facebook status "do i or don't i get a german shepherd puppy??"

I have now discovered that I had to rehome my baby as she has a puppy in the pipeline. Despite her long working hours and I'm HORRENDOUSLY allergic to them.

Angry is an understatement right now

Spareroom.co.uk here I come

you first mentioned your flatmate almost a month ago on this thread - what has happened since then? and I dont mean all the bad things that have happened.

You have choices. putting it simplistically. You can either stay there and be miserable or you can go.

If you choose to stay there then expect more misery and if you choose to leave then a positive straight away is that you wont be putting money in her pocket through the rent.

If she knows you are allergic to them and knows you read her posts on facebook then she is probably saying this to wind you up.

dwelling on negatives will always take you lower. They can make you more annoyed, upset, bitter and lots of other nasties and eventually this is what your friends will start seeing too

take some positive action - doesnt have to be earth shattering, can be something ever so small and it will help drag you out of a rut. The first one I would suggest is simple - either stop going on facebook and reading what she has to say or remove her as a friend and stop reading her posts that way. Its obvious they wind you up.

spend some serious time looking for somewhere else if that is your choice - I know it isnt easy but maybe use some of your facebook time looking around.

Its true it is easier to find the negatives and once you find one there are hundreds of the little buggers there just waiting to greet you but there are positives to this situation as well and ok they take a bit of extra effort to find but I am sure they are worth the effort.

how often do you and your flatmate talk to each other ?- and I mean really talk. If you were friends once how did you both get to where you are now? what has to happen to make things better?
