I agree. I even keep a box in my car for all sorts of rubbish and when im out everything lands up in there until it overflows and i get a new box lol.

What a terrible accident to have happen :(

Back in Tenerife l spent hours over several days trying to track and trap a kitten. It had it's head caught through the plastic rings for drinks cans.

I never manged to get it and eventualy lost it totally it dissapeared, l shudder when l think of what was going to happen as it got bigger

how awful - you think about litter being a problem for little wild mice or squirrels but you would never imagine that something so horrible could happen to your dog while out on a walk.

I hope the owners are ok and I hope you have a nicer day at work tomorrow

Oh that so so sad. Poor owners but poor you aswell, I wouldn't know what to say to them...

The worst thing is you can normally learn from horrible things that happen in our line of work and warn owners but this is just awful bad luck.

I also hate litterbugs and look like a crazy picking up rubbish but only think of wildlife when I do!

It was just a crisp bag it came across when out walking. I guess the litter bug didnt think it might cause something to die.

Thank you for your kind comments. I didn't know what to say to the owner. We made the right sort of comforting noises but were all rather shocked. Just shows how quickly accidents can happen.

That's terrible! Poor dog

My dog got her head stuck in a plastic tub of screen wipes when she was little! Luckily I heard her banging around and managed to cut it off her!
