There are definitely a lot of diets (they actually condensed some of the dog lifestage diets earlier in the year, previously there were a lot more!), but most places will only use a few as standard so don't worry too much about them

Thanks everyone, just been on the website and there's a LOT of diets... have used quite a few of them before though so not too daunting!! Will read up on the main ones anyway and yeah will maybe see about meeting the rep once I'm there.

Hi, Congratulations on getting a new job!

Best thing to do is speak to the rep, they're normally really helpful & will send out any literature that you need. Also, maybe arrange for some lunch meetings as their training is normally really good & will earn you CPD hours too! (As well as a nice lunch provided by them!)

Have used Royal Canin for years and they are normally really helpful if you need advice on any of the diets. The website has information on the clinical diets here http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/vet/clinical_diets.aspx

and lifestage diets here http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/vet/lifestage_diets.aspx

they do the nutrition books like Hills do though all the info is on their website.
