We can't be veterinary officers, only veterinary technicians which are trained up to a NVQ in animal care.

Vet officers need to have a degree in veterinary medicine.

Yeah there is no vet nurse within the army only vet tech's and their training involves dogs and horses only.

Civvie vet nurse's though are highly regarded within the vet corps because of the standerd of training we receive.

I was thinking of joining up and was adviced by a couple of army vets to go though officer training at Sandhurst but have deceided to stay a civvie!!! x

i looked into it, you wld b classed as a veterinary technician, but if you do ure trainin through them b4 norm vn training the qualification is not rec in norm vn. have a look on the army website

army nursing... is that not just a veterinary technician? or can you be an actual vet nurse within the army?
