Wasn't there a program on recently about someone living with in a pack? I imagine they have some documented refs and maybe even some titles that might be useful in their research. Have a search on google. It was on in the last year I think.

Hi Bouncyfi - we have spoken before!! I used web references for my COAPE course & didn't have a problem with it! Just as long as you lay out your references like they tell you - I got told off once for doing it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

As for working hound packs - have you got one near you?? If so give them a call or go see them & have a chat. I dind't find a particular book, I just found some good websites, and know someone at our local hunt!

Be really careful about the use of webpage references though. Unless they come from a reputable organisation they may not carry much weight in general and you may find yourself losing marks. I don't know COAPEs marking scheme though.

There is no set format for referencing web sources Fi. Unless they have given you set guidelines you can pretty much do as you please (so long as it makes sense). I usually reference them like this:

Author (date/unknown), Name of webpage, Organisation.

Available from:

Website (accessed: date of access)

E.g.

Bouncyfi (2009), COAPE course - help (discussion forum topic), Vetnurse.co.uk

Available from:

http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/forums/AddPost.aspx?ReplyToPostID=52275&Quote=False (accessed: 01/11/2009)

But other people do it slightly differently.
