well yesterday was bloody freezing and wet for the most part went to a fireworks and laser display last night and was sooo cold when I got back. The fire had nearly gone out when I got home because it had been so bloody windy and the coal had burnt faster than I wanted it to. As it was 9.30 couldnt be bothered to relight it so thought I would put a hottie in the bed and have an early night. Cue cats - who moved from huddling around the embers in the grate into my nice warm bed. I spent the rest of the night fighting for my bit of the warm end of the bed.

This morning still freezing and this afternoon even colder - the fire is lit and being defended to the death by Jas and Mo who will not let me near it!

Sounds too cold and uncomfortable for my liking...i like my home comforts!

it was a great weekend, especially when we tried to run accross the rafts and i fell in 2. its a great group thing

well im glad that you are all tucked up nice and warm and enjoying the nasty weather i have just got back from a weekend in wales sleeping in a tent, yes during the rain and gales. been competing in the gb rafting champs. so spent the weekend very wet. had a boiling hot shower as soon as i got home. still trying to find the difference between the dirt and bruises on my legs though .

see have had glasses for as long as i can remember even had a patch as a kid so feels odd to think i wont have them!!!

How much do you pay a monh? That my other worry that they are going to be wayyyy expensive cos am blind

I started wearing glasses in infant school - i totally HATED it! When i was in senior school i swapped to lenses, my friends that had known me for years found it really odd seeing me without glasses!

It took a while for me to get used to putting in contacts, but now i find it easy peasy. I persevered cos i was adamant i wanted them! I've got 2 week lenses, dailies are much more expensive and my optician said he prefers the 2 week ones to the month ones. The first lenses i had i could only wear for a few hours a day, but the ones i've got now are fab, they've been designed so that your eyes stay nice and moist so can leave them in all day

When i first wore lenses i found it really odd being able to look in ANY direction and still see, it's fab!

omg! I have the same prob vicky! My lenses for glasses are going to be £180 plus £100 for a half decent frame! So contacts it is but apparently cos am so blind i can only get monthlys!! It's my left eye that am totally and utterly blind in!

Contacts though are scary! Putting something in your eye hmm well am being cheap and not buying a frame for a little while! Had glasses all my life so am a little sad to say goodbye to wearing them! Esp this frame i just broke had some pretty awesome times with them!

Got the contact fit thing tommorow then a few days to wait for the lenses! Ahhh my head hurts from squinting to see things

Silly twit has just tried to scratch his eye under his glasses forgetting he is wearing his contacts today!

Hehe, I'm sure thats what mum used to do when I lived at home. My otherhalf isn't really hungry so doesn't want dinner so I think it will be pizza follwed my chocolate and ice cream for pudding!

Been munching on crap all day - drinking cans of Irn Brn and now it nearly tea time I can't be bothered making anything for the rest of the family!! Maybe they will starve before they think to make anything themselves!!

Was supposed to go walking with a friend and all the houndlings but decided to cancel because of the weather, so stayed in bed til 12.30!!! Bliss, then have been studying all day - finding this behaviour course quite difficult to get into!! So at least one good thing hs come out of the miserable day!

It's miserable here too!! got a blanket and some nice wintery food... mostly choclate mm!! Tvs not to bad tonight but think shall get a dvd!!

Did have to go out today though for a silly eye test to get new glasses.... stupidly broke my old ones by trying to adjust them, wasn't rough with them and they broke! they were 3 and a half years old but still have had some good times with them LOL But anyways the new pair because am so blind are costing me a fortune so settling for contacts instead as they are cheaper but am really not looking forward to them! Currentyl aquinting at the screen to see what am typing! So useless without my specs!!

am currently wondering what else is going to go wrong in the near future! Niamh, my glasses..... my bank balance has never been so depressing!

Anyways going to go get my home made roasties mmm
