never mind fat git Morris - its slim jim Jasper who is giving the wrens the evils. Having wiped out the moth population and decimated the spiders he thinks he can move onto feathery things. Morris is a bit more ambitious and fancies his chances with the chicken - but actually my money would be on the chicken - its a big bugger and has huge spurs, the neighbour tells me it has been around for at least 3 years!

She has Freddie the pheasant, along with his harem of ladies who trail all the way up the driveway, and wander round the garden, she also gets all the swans with all the little signets who come and make themselves at home, plus the garden is heaving with frogs.... and I mean heaving. There is also a Bird of prey.......... dont ask me which kind, but it only comes in /winter and parks itself outside the girls bedroom window, and roosts there, till early spring.

Then of course there are the bats in the attic........ tiny little ones that come out early evening to eat all the midge's.

Re: new pet

[quote user="Caro Laithwaite"]

hehe I was thinking the same Caro!!

Sal, you are so lucky to have such lovely birds!! I am sooooo jealous!!

I have been born and bred in the country but never have had the pleasure of such birds taking lodgings as there are too many men ready with a gun - especially with the pheasants, they rear them from babies only to spend a week shooting them, terrible

Re: new pet

I am guessing Morris has a recipe.. a la raw birdie lined up

Re: new pet

That's so cool!
