Never before did I have to 'let go' of a cat, but I had to today.
Vet told me to let go! She was taking rectal temperature and I got mauled completely - I had

Re: Mauled by a cat

[quote user="Maisy"]

he was a real terror to get an iv catheter in yesterday, and that was with him feeling poorly!! I am off work tomorrow so if he gets to go home, one of my colleagues will have the pleasure of taking him off his fluids!! Oh dear!

I learned a great tip today with situations like these - the vet I was with today is also married to a vet, she was telling her husband about what the cat done to me and he said if we had to take him off fluids today, we could give him a small dose of propofol just to get catheter etc out. I have never tried this before, but it seems a fantastic idea!!

Re: Mauled by a cat

Ouch!
