LOL, not long?! I have used up probably a 1/4 of my lifespan since I first joined VetNurse!!! I am more than half way to dead now

I think it was around 2000 as I applied for a new job up north then and moved dec 2000 so guessing I started using the forum back then off and on as no internet at home. Had to rely on cafes and work

they still exist in some parts of our village - mine still comes down the phone line.

Does anybody remember the night we all did the live chat? I remember part of it - got called out mid way through

As I remember, 2000 was when we first switched the site on, back in the days of neeeeeeeeh-guzzzzzzzh-bzzzzzzzzz-neeeeeeh modems and 28kbps internet connection speeds. Remember them?!

I reckon it has been 19 years this year since I joined. I remember being at Wey Referrals in the summer of 2000 and logging into Vet Nurse using a secondhand laptop I had bought for £250 a couple of months before (my first ever computer!).

That's really cheered me up after a rotten day. Discovered a fault on the website this afternoon and have only just cracked the problem (its nearly midnight). A long, long afternoon.

Anyway, hang around ... I'm hoping this week is going to be the week when we launch a whole new side to VetNurse, which I hope you'll want to be involved with.

Think i joined in august 2006. It was when i had just finished my diploma at college and was about to start vet nursing degree and lookin for placements, so came across the site while googling bout vet nurses.

Had a lot of help since then, at first i was just posting asking if anyone knew of any work placements or jobs going in local practices to me, LOL...

Ive now been in practice since november 2006, yeyness!! And started my NVQ training in sept 2009. Wooo. LOL

I've had my computer for 2 yrs and found this site by accident, when googling vet nurse or similar, so have been on the old site and this site for nearly 2 years..... love it!

okey dokey..............I have posted for a while now..... I went off vn'ing for a while/.....about 6mnth, when I wanted to come back all I googled was vet nurses.....and there it was.... and I hsve to say your anecdotttttttes made me come back.

working in prac tice since 2000, qualified since jan 2005, bloody hell is that all.............. locumed since then and now a fully fledged experienced nurse

I have been around since the beginning as well - can remember quite a few of the 'oldies' from the original site

Ian M where are you? Twiggyette I do believe I have seen you on here recently . There was this thread on mammoths that ran for pages and pages initiated by Ian - we didnt seem to be quite so serious those days ( I miss some of the humour - its not quite the same anymore, and there seems to be a lot more squabbling and sniping these days which is really quite sad)
