The Peace lily (Spathyphyllum species) is potentially toxic as it contains toxins that are very irritant and which will certai8nly cause slaivation, vomiting, retching, and maybe even ulceration to tongue and oral cavity.

The types of lily that are nephrotoxic are [articularly tose from the Lilium or Hemerocalis (Day lily) families.

OK?

It has no odour, is quite a 'wall flower', it doesnt look like a flamboyant lily. In fact, generally i hate lilies, the smell makes me feel ill! This lily however is lovely and is very good at cleaning the air.My cats are far more important to me though.

She was discharged and had to come back for a blood test. Renal function was back to normal and she's fine now! Never had any sort of problem since. Even was on a long course of Metacam from her RTA and levels were elevated but nothing to worry over.
