We scanned him and he had no chip, put an advert out on the local radio station, rang round all the local vets and still nothing! Why would someone bother paying all that

Re: Stray bengal

I'm guessing the ones I've seen haven't come from registered breeders. I know one of our vets got a pedigree cat but she didn't have papers hence wasn't microchipped.

One of the other nurses has been in contact with bengal rescue and places like that but nothing. He's probably about 5-6 years old and is def a pedigree. He's big and has the right markings and everything. One of our receptionists has bengals and she instantly said he was one. I've got no pics I'm afraid. I have tried but he won't sit still! lol

At least we've managed to find him a good home and he can continue to get better. He's finally eating solid food and not just blended stuff. yay!

Re: Stray bengal

[quote user="Kimbo1985"]

That just sounds like a typical kitten to me! Not necessarily Bengal..Got any photos? I could pass them round to the breeders I know and see if they recognise his coat pattern or face.

All the breeders I know of an speak with microchip their litters unless otherwise stated in contract to be done when they are to be neutered. Not everyone follows the rules of their contract (which is how the byb are able to cross breed and produce non reg'd kittens) and will not get it done when they've promised they would. Did you try contacting the bengal cat club to see if he's listed on the lost list? Or contact a local bengal breeder in your area to see if they recognize him?

Re: Stray bengal

He's def a pedigree!
