I&#39;m surprised he rang back so many times tho, how many nice ways can you say no?</p> <p>All of us are briefed on not giving out too much information to these companies. My personal favourite is to tell them that we&#39;ve just received an order for till rolls/consent forms/ fax paper etc and thanks but no thanks.</p> <p>My father in law has a different approach: If he&#39;s having problems getting rid of a cold caller then he askes what their policy is on terminating the call if they get sworn at. If they reply it is then he just says &quot;fine, **** off then&quot; and hangs up. Dispite being informed politely that we do not require credit card rolls and requesting them not to ring - they still do!</p> <p>A new receptionist got caught out a couple of years ago and agreed to order some. they arrived with a very large bill. We contacted them to arrange there return only to discover they have a handling charge.
