Albatross - i really hope things get better for you. We were in a similar boat earlier this year. My husband now has a job but i doubt our finances will ever get back to normal and we have a dire credit report. I know you have said you want TP's in Kent but have you tried the Blue Cross in Victoria SW1 - they are a TP, i trained there and used to commute from Kent daily? Just a thought.

Got it worked out. They pay think tanks millions and they can not find the solution l can.

Anyone from overseas who wants to come to uk to work is welcome and in return we send on a one to one basis the lazy skiving brit wasters over there.

I did not say they were out for a free ride, and i am sure Albatross does not think that either.

I know a lot come here for refuge, and thats good that we do this, but what I object to is people coming over here and taking us for a ride.. some refugees are not persecuted at all, but come here to get free handouts. I am all for taking in the persecuted, or people who actually want to contribute to our economy, but it's not like that. Also would we not be better sorting out the lowlife scum who neither want to or intend to work, who were actually born here, before we start inviting people to stay who are only going to cripple the economy more?

I disagree most people who come here are not out for a free ride some maybe but not all.

She was expressing her opinion and i expressed mine.... freedom if speech and all!

The system doesnt work for some and works for others. Unfortunly thats life. I think we have it good in comparison to other countries!

I am a student and live on less than 5 grand a year, it's not fair but that is life!

Why? I did not find anything she said offensive....she was only saying what she felt, and if you cant do that, then what happened to freedom of speech or free will?

Afterall thats what most of the people who come here as refugees cannot take for granted in their homeland, so do we take it away from the British born and bred, so as not to offend people who were not born here, but come here because of it?

If the Title had read, Black, british born and over 40..... would the author be accused of being a racist?? The reason I ask this is, Black people like to mention their skin colour all the time, are they accused of racism for stating the obvious??

Take the MOBO awards.... Can you imagine if we had a music award show that was for Music of white origin!!! we would be crucified...

Now I dont think mentioning the colour of your own skin or the colour of a black mans makes anyone more racist... they are merely pointing out the obvious, and quite frankly I dont really give a rats ass, whether people mention it or not...afterall I would not be offended if the title had the word black in it...I would not see that as a slight on my skin colour, but I do think that in the nanny state we live in, some are too quick to pull the racist card.

don't worry Caro you're not the only one. the family that runs our village pub are from Rhodesia/Zimbe and they are lovely, but can be a bit racist sometimes! lol i just nod and smile. I'm used to it with my grandparents in the south, they're rude as hell! :(
