We don't routinely put primapore on surgical wounds. Found that it annoys the animals more and draws their attention to the wound. Only put them on if there is a lot of ooze.

We used to use primapore quite regularly but had loads of trouble as it set like glue and all the poor critters cried during post op checks as we had to pull them off to check the wounds!

So we stopped using them and have just recently started again, so far we don't seemt o have had any problems, they stay on well and come off with ease

I'm not sure what has changed with the product?

we use MICROpore from 3M for really everything!

Have also found depends on the dog - some coats just wont let it stick once the area is clipped - even worse when the coat starts to grow back in - no chance ofit sticking lol!

I find primapore either sticks really well or comes straight off!

We use opsite to help the primapore stick to - find if you have sprayed too much, leave it to dry for 30 sec or so and then apply the primapore and should stick.

We use this too, but sometimes if you spray too much on, it wont stick.. otherwise, it's good stuff!

We use TreatPore instead of primapore

I LOVE Microfoam tape but its a bit expensive?

We use Opsite spray before placing dressings, helps them stick and is a dressing in its own right. Have also changed over to Leukomed dressings, similar to Primapore but stickier and much much cheaper!
