By the end of my time with them (about 3 months) during which I handled them lots they were still quite nervous and did not like a lot of noise or sudden movement but would come out into their pen when I was around to shout for food! I never managed to get them to eat from myhand though - they were always too suspicious...very, very sweet little animals.

Re: New guinea advice

When i got Smudge she was a very nervous little thing, but came out of her shell after a while. I think her confidence was helped along by being influenced by Poppy and Daisy! Poppy and Daisy were very shy when i first got them, but now they no longer hide when you come in the room, they stick their noses in the air and shout!!! They even go up to the side of the cage to see Jack if he whines at them!

Awww i love

Re: New guinea advice

She is fab - she is texel x aby so has very mad hair. From rescue, she kept being overlooked as she has red eyes :(
