There are courses you can do. I read in this months (nov2009) issue of Your Dog magazine.

I was trying to think of the VN who does this too! I think she is called Lorraine? If I remember rightly she is in the north west somewhere so hopefully some nurses around there may know. Otherwise College of Animal Welfare run first aid courses, very good and detailed.
