&lt;p&gt;Really sorry to hear that Mrs M - I sometimes wonder at men......I think it is the &amp;#39;can only&amp;nbsp;think about&amp;nbsp;one thing at a time&amp;#39; mentality, and that rarely includes the wife/gf/partner!!!!! I don&amp;#39;t think they can see what is happening in front of them, and spelling it out may be the only way for these stubborn ones!&lt;/p&gt;

It might not work, but if you book tickets / table then he will find it more difficult to fob you off? I have a similar issue with my husband....he&amp;#39;ll find the time to go out with friends, but since my little boy was born in January, he&amp;#39;s only taken me out alone once!! And that I had to organise!!!! &lt;/p&gt;
