If I were you I would organise a night out, book a table in a nice restaurant, the works. Does he have a night where he is less busy than others? If so, maybe arrange it for one of those nights?

seems we all have this from our guys, but I know fine well that being a farmers partner can be very lonely! my bf is a joiner but like dinky im widowed to football, darts, pool and facebook.

we got a meal voucher (in june) from my mum coz funds are low, offered to go toninght as on hol.......................still no joy!

Mite take a friend instead!

Aw no - poor you!Mine can be a twat at times to but he can be pretty good if im not working he will invite me to pub - lol!But even then its not just us- his dad or one of his mates will be there - couldnt tell you last time we actually justsat in watched some tele and had a chinese!Between pool, darts, football and bloody poker!However i sometimes have to get narky before he listens lol!

Really sorry to hear that Mrs M - I sometimes wonder at men......I think it is the 'can only think about one thing at a time' mentality, and that rarely includes the wife/gf/partner!!!!! I don't think they can see what is happening in front of them, and spelling it out may be the only way for these stubborn ones!

they don't realise that there selfish attitude actually does have an effect on us! we are woman and we are paranoid lol! They are men and totally oblivious to our feelings!!

ah men eh? My bf is the same! Never ever wants to go out for meals or do anytihng a little different! We do orange wednesday and even then am convinced thats only cos its dark and nobody can see us! Bloody men!

Have you thought of just booking somewhere, and telling him you are taking him out? It might not work, but if you book tickets / table then he will find it more difficult to fob you off? I have a similar issue with my husband....he'll find the time to go out with friends, but since my little boy was born in January, he's only taken me out alone once!! And that I had to organise!!!!

Sometimes we just have to take the bull by the horns!!!!!
