Saw the head heed yin today.....(head ortho surgeon, who specialises in hands........ and yeeeee she does not need an op. Nice lady showed us the x rays and went through all the angles, normal angle would be 90 degrees, and steffs is 96, so considering that it 's not so bad. She has to watch it for the next month, and at the end The surgeon said that if she had any problems in the future, to call her and she gave us her card....... how very nice of her.

aww ouch I hope she will be ok. I feel the same about the NHS, my newphew broke his ankle and I swear I could of done a neater job of the sutures, they were a mess, and it got infected and didnt heal well etc etc etc!

dont have a lot of confidence in them

Hi Jenny, yes I saw them, the hand has started to heal as it was 2 weeks ago that she broke it, that is why thye are debating about an op, as it will have to be broken again and re set

oh dear, nhs are crap... they missed my broken arm once, it was a tiny fracture to be fair, but 2 days leter got a phonecall to say they reviewed my xrays and found the fracture and needed it plastered for 6 weeks.

Did u see stephs xrays then?

ell she has now saw 4 surgeons, one thinks she needs and op, and 3 dont, but she has an appt ith the top surgeon in the uk on tue, and they ill decide if she needs one.

Btw my w's are not working all that well on here

When I broke my ankle a few years ago they missed it on the xray. They sent me home for a week with just a bandage on and my mum kept shouting at me for playing on it - she felt guilty when they rung me back to say I had actually broke it! I had to have it pulled straight to be plastered - not good!

Oh how rubbish of the nhs!!! Someone at college today showed us a newspaper article of a man who's broken arm was left for 10 weeks cos they kept putting off his treatment...it's not healed at a 45 degree angle! They're going to have to break it again to sort it. What idiots.

I just cant wait to see the x rays, she is bringing them back tomorrow on a disc to take to the hospital. I cant believe they splinted it if its as bad as the surgeon is saying!!

Its the metacarpals, she has broken them before as she does thai boxing, so there is a weakness there, but this time it was shut in a car door!!!!
