Have tried searching on comp for auto saved documents but there's none there so I guess I'll just have to start again. Luckily I had book marked all the pages I'd been working from, so at least I've still got that.

Yes it is the COAPE course I'm doing - seemed like a good idea at the time, but I'm finding it quite difficult to get into - think more because I haven't studied for a while (& possibly I need a holiday too) Hopefully once I'm into the way of studying, it will become easier.

Ness - I did get your reply just not had chance to reply back - it was very helpful and I certainly shall be picking your brains!! The first unit is all about wolves and their behaviour.

Hi Bouncyfi - did you get my reply to your private message???? Chin up , deep breaths & try searching for it like someone else has just said! It's bound to be there somewhere as it usually doesn't let you close it without prompting you to save it, perhaps it's gone to a different folder that you realised.

Someone else asked about COAPE behaviour courses - I have just qualified from the Diploma course after first doing the qualifying entry course. Well worth doing! I really enjoyed them and am now doing behaviour consults in practice - eeek!!

Yep you might have autorecovery on Word! I lost my diploma assignment (it was 3am when I finished, sleep deprivation and stupidity!!!), luckily the autorecovery came on once the laptop was switched off.

if you did it in Word, try looking in autosave copies, or incomplete versions, or try searching the disk for particular keywords. Often there will be a .tmp file from previous edits you might be able to find - as long as you don't go creating other documents before you search.

oh crap! i know how you feel, especially when it has taken ages and you just don't think you can write it the same again!! im one of those who doesn't do a 'rough' draft, just fiddle about with the first one so have done this many times!!

just out of interest, which behaviour course are you doing?? i have been looking at some that COAPE do and would like to start something before my brain cell dies!!
