Don't give up. If you love a job you should be persistent until you get it. Job satisfaction dosen't come to many people. Just keep on sending out your cv's and following up with a phone call as well as looking at the available opportunities. Not all practices advertise. Just mail them all. Good luck and thank you for your support here. Everybody's been amazing on here. You're all superstars and that's why we do the job we do. Have a chat with your head nurse or something. Explain you feel really bad about it, but its not something you can do anything about.

I went back to work after an op, 4 weeks after major surgery. I wasnt supposed to do any heavy lifting for six weeks after and they were really understanding, and helped me whenever i needed it. they didn't hold it against me at all as i had been so honest, and i made myself helpful in all the areas i could.
