Spray a really cheap perfume on the area that she is chewing and it tastes so bad she may not chew it again. She may drool after licking the perfume but it shouldn't do any harm.

just a little update

Josie has settled in really well.........but.......

when she doesnt get her own way - e.g. is banished to the garage if I need a bit of peace lol she eats the skirting boards and the utility door my door is fast becoming a non door, anyone any ideas?

Her DAP collar broke and I couldnt get it back on so I am patiently waiting on one to arrive in the post

Oooo post a link to the website and i can get excited about collar hunting too lol! That reminds me, i need to get a new one for Jack...when i see NEED, i actually mean WANT. The one he's got works perfectly well, it's just tatty from him running through bushes!!!

Aw, thanks Lou.

She has actually found new confidence this evening - she has just walked out to sleep in her bed in the kitchen while I am in sitting room. That is definitely progress

Though I suspect her DAP collar has a lot to do with it

We have been looking on the retired greyhound rescue website this evening for a suitable girly collar like the one Saskia has - Mmmm....... will take forever to decide lolol

Well, Josie is still doing very well. She has became way to attached to me though - I dont have a problem with it, but I am going to leave her at home tomorrow as I cannot take her to work everyday - she came with me today to start her vacc course and I wanted to put DAP collar on her.

I definitely notice a difference with the DAP collar but I still fear she may suffer from seperation anxiety.

The girls in work couldnt believe the difference in her today, she was so much more happy-go-lucky and confident and was always wagging her tail

She met my ex-husband on Sunday when he came to pick up the boys and has decided she does not like him hahahahahaha

aw Vicky, I have shed a few tears tonight, as I said earlier, it has been a very tiring day. I was kinda feeling a little sorry for myself due to recent issues as you know and was just crying for Josie watching her try to get comfortable on the sofa with a leg missing.

However, as always, you guys have helped me smile again

P.s Pass no remarks on Caro burping all over the place - she simply has no good manners and is just playing rude because she had a mouthful of cider hahahahahahaha lololololoolol

I was too busy there, posting my reply to the dave newbie in the being ignored post

I'm just loving my new girl, she is such a wee darling, lying on the sofa beside me and everytime I pet her or say her name, her wee tail is wagging she seems so happy to be here as she has got to know me over the last few weeks so is familiar with me and I am really happy to have her. I feel a real sense of contentment and happiness just now that I was able to offer her a home where she will be dearly loved by me and my children.

Mum is 'pretending' to be cross with me right now as she feels I have enough to deal with without adding another dog to the equation. It was sooooo funny when she was in earlier and she wouldnt even look at Josie and the boys were saying to her, 'aw nanny, dont be cross'

Only a matter of time...................
