In your e mail page on right hand sign is a drop down column that says options. Click more options then click on view and manage your infomation. Click on change password. Hey Presto! Hope that helps

secretly the aliens took me from my bed at night and have planted a mechanism in my head that has told me how to trick everyone into going to this computer help site to take over the world!!! bleep bleep...

no but really if you're every having a slow computer or something is just not quite right. the people on that site are brilliant for helping you out. i've used them on more than a few occasions for things previous to meeting my partner. Never had a problem!

How do you go about changing your hotmail password? I seriously need to go on a computer course- I know so little!

yes I have lost 2 of my hotmail accounts I used AVG all the time and have done for years before getting this laptop. Since I started using this laptop last week have had to use the virgin media one because it wont let me uninstall it so now annto use AVG which I prefer.

l doubt that people in general realise just how dangerous it is to go in there unless you know exactly what you are doing. A computer shop is not particularly expensive around £35 especially given what playing around in registry could cost her... Like her entire computer system.

I am not worried what you feel nor what you say you or your husband have steph nor quite frankly l do not care if god himself gave you some paperwork and called you Moses and l stand by what l said.

excuse me? I think you are confused. the bleeping computer website is a very very well known help site for those having computer trouble. some of the best geeks on the planet are on there. i was not offering to sort her registry i was saying she should go on there and let them sort it for her or help her. i said she could contact me privately if she had trouble working out how to post up on their boards or if she was having trouble running the hijackthis program. that's it and frankly i don't like your tone. you don't know me nor do you know what i do or don't know about computers. it just so happens i have taken computer science courses and i'm very savvy with PCs and Mac OS. But I wouldn't offer to 'fix' someones computer for them only lead them in the direction that would be most helpful to them by professionals. My partner actually has a degree in CS and IT and can build computers so if i reaaallly needed to I could ask him but I think i can manage to help walk her through a small program to spit out her statistics and start up mecs from her reg. but I understand your concern, though it is highly unwarranted and really unnecessary since I'm sure she can make her own decisions! Computer shops will cost her a fortune when she could do it her self! Shame she's not local or I would have Martin fix it for her.

Nor should anyone with no or very little computer knowledge go into registry no matter what anyone tells them. It is very easy to toally screw up the entire computer.

it also still might be worth going on that bleeping computer web forum and posting up your hijackthis text so they can sort out your registry for you so you dont have issues later on. they will walk you through it all just read the forum rules and post up your file. if you need any help just private message me on here and i will try to walk you through it.

Here is a good back up with avg. and all other setups It is a sort of umbrella spykiller called Spywareblaster

And Spydoctor the pair compliment each other. No programme can get rid of every infestation and these 2 cover a lot of different ground

I had norton and it was apain in the ***! Basically made my laptop slow and annoyed me so i got rid! am with Arlo, AVG is free but awesome for keeping viruses away!

Also, i use spybot which scans for any crap i may hyave picked up.

Overall, I have ahealthy laptop!!

i'm very aware of what a virus is and what Norton and AOHELL are all about. they are programs they are by definition just like viruses because viruses are programs!

So it would make sense for them to 'infect' your computer. the problem is that there are too many PC programmers and Windows compatable programmers are allowed to do as they like. Apple Mac on the other hand are on lock down. For good reason which is why there aren't many viruses out there that effect Mac products. PC viruses only effect PCs and Macs are only affected by Mac based viruses, to which there aren't many.
