Hiya. Yeah I am at college one day a week. Been 3 times now and not started my case logs yet as I've no idea what I'm doing. I'm sure they're pretty straight forward but I'd like the chance to go over things with someone who knows about them. One of the people on my group had finished 2 by our second day there!!!! Arghhhhhhh!

bloomin heck they must be keen! i would suggest starting them earlier rather than later, i think i left mine for too long

once you have started you really will fly thu them. i have only really struggled with the zoonotic and of course finding time to give my talk

Not to worry, hopefully you will get to complete it shortly. If its easier you could try with just your mentor and another vet/nurse? You might find that to be more successful getting a couple of people away from their duties as well as helping your nerves

Hi - have you only just started the ANA? If so, me too. And I've not started anything yet. I haven't been able to go over anything yet with my assessor and I have no idea how to even start the case logs. So don't worry - you're not alone.

And I am absolutely petrified about doing the short talk :(

well i never got to do it

a chihuahua came in straining to have her pups so we have been sorting her out all afternoon. its so typical, everytime i have tried to do this talk or even get help with my caselogs something has happened.

feel quite upset now. i know that the animals come first and that these things cant be helped. its just starting to upset me now, i feel i get or have had no help at all with this course

good luck you will be fine...4 or 5 people is nothing wait till you are asked to speak at BSAVA then you could be speaking to 100 times that number!!!

Start the talk with a burp end with a F*** and just join the dots in the middle you will do fine

Good luck! You know the people already so that will help a lot!

For the ANA course, the short talk only really needs to be 5-10 minutes (including the q+a session). You will probably find that once you start talking you will extend it anyway
