Right now I'm really mad, RSPCA have done nothing and I went to see how bunny was assuming it went to vets back end of last week for the op only to discover the stupid cow has gone on holiday. So her mother was there n I said can I see the bunny after its op......"what op?" I could feel my blood boiling...."oh its tail fell off" her mam informed me

So I managed to catch the poor thing and the necrotic degloved tissue has dropped off, leaving a lovely stump of bone. I took the bunny inside n pointed this out to her mother (who clearly is as stupid as the daughter) "oh it'll heal Claire stop being so pedantic"

I could have swung for her seriously. I said I'd take the bunny to work at which point she shoo'ed me out the house. So I'm going to make some phonecalls tomorrow

god thats making me so angry!! IF your going to have pets and cause them injury don't let them suffer away in pain for days on end! I agree have a nosey and phone up looking for a history. I doubt she took the poor bunny to the vets..... silly silly woman... could call her alot worse!! The title of this thread is appropriate for people like her!! Keep us posted missvn!!

phone the vets and say that you are phoning to get a 2nd opinion or something, they might help if they think she is neglecting animals.

people really need a poker up their back side sometimes.

How on earth do you manage to stand on a rabbits tail any way..... thats a feat in its self....

She went tail needs amputating and they told her she can have a week to get the funds together! I somehow think they didn't say that so I'm going to go and have serious words tonight

Hi, you could threaten to report her as she would be prosecutable under the animal welfare act. I doubt very much the vet actually said that and you are also a qualified vet professional so she has definitely gone against your advice leading to un-necessary suffering!

Rabbits really do get a raw deal, and that is neglect, good job its not too warm or i can see it getting fly strike too.
