Thank you all for your support Well, vet came out at midday and everything went as well as it could do luckily. It was definitely the right time but its just something you don't want to consider

That's really sad

My dog is 13 on Wednesday and although she's healthy at the moment, I dread the day I have to make the decision to say goodbye. I know we see it everyday but when it's your own dog it's a completely different matter.

Remember the good times and don't feel guilty. It's the kindest and most selfless thing you can do.

Aw Maisy, sending lots of positive thoughts for your lovely old boy

I know its hard, but you know your heart of hearts that you are doing the kindest thing for him. His pain and suffering will be no more.

The last act of kindness and love we can do for our pets is to let them go peacefully and when they still have some dignity left.

I wish you well for tomorrow and I really hope you find the strength to get through this, knowing there was nothing else you could have done.

Use this evening to spend some quality time with him and spoil him - though I am sure you do that already.

Maisy, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I went through the same thing a while back. Like Caro said, if you know in your heart it's the right thing then it is the right thing. I think there's no greater thing we can do for our four legged friends than to end pain and suffering when the time is right.

He'll always be with your in your heart. Sorry I can't be more help but here's a hug

Maisy l am a few days ahead of you and it is really sh**ty feeling and will be for some time but if in your heart you are doin g the right thing it is the right thing.
