HA!

I had a lady in the other day with her dog, comes to paying and the 'boss' hadn't charged her for a booster and wormer. I informed the lady that she didn't have to pay and she grinned and explained that she 'did work for him'.

WHAT THE ***!!!!!!

I'VE FUCKING WORKED FOR HIM FOR 16 YEARS AND EVEN I DON'T GET STUFF FOR FREE!!!!!

Turns out that she waters his plants when he's on holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This pisses me off big time as you can well imagine....

we get all food/drugs/toys etc at cost +VAT. all surgical/xrays etc is max 30% of normal costs (depending on the vet....)

insured animals are booked in full and direct claim, practice pays the excess

For all insured animals things are billed at full price and practice pays does a direct claim and pays the excess. For anything not being claimed (food, boosters, etc) we pay cost price + VAT. There is no charge for vets time, only for what is used.

For all insured animals we get charged full price but practice will do a direct claim and pay any excesses.
For non-insured animals we get free consults, 50% off procedures/ services, lab fees at cost plus vat, full price meds. If there is a lot of treatment the boss usually does a deal. For example with my cat I paid full price for lab fees but he didnt charge me for blood pressure, urine tests or a series of blood glucose tests.
We also have a cardiologist who will scan etc for free!

Get 20% off food, wormers, flea treatment, litter, toys etc and get all vaccines free! The boss is also very good at letting us board our animals, I just left my old diabetic at work for 2 weeks and didnt get charged! I do sometimes leave the dog at work if Im out all day too or no charge except some biccies for the nurse who lets him out!!

Similar to Rachel W....bringing them in and being seen as and when....

Discount on all food....about 15-25%, any injections, small procedures aren't charged and no consult fee is charged.....any meds at leat 25% off

and ofcourse you can build a bill up and pay it as and when( within reason )

This is what we tend to do too. It depends on which vet you see too as to what they charge you, most of ours are pretty good and will "selectively" charge . Whatever they decide to charge though, we get a staff discount of 50% on procedures, 30% on medication and 25% on food.

with us it depends on what vet u see to what they charge u if u see the boss he charges for every thing, we get staff discount of i think 30% on everything.

If u see the right vets u dont pay consult fees, surgical time or injectable drugs, only get charge cost price on drugs food etc, vaccines we pay for and external lab fees at cost price.

We tend to bring our animal in and have them in for the day and a vet just looks at them when their free rather than taking up a consult appt that we then dont pay for
