It could be a comfort thing or it could be that she wasn't weaned properly and/or taken from mum too young

Re: kitten behavoir

I reared a litter of 4, 2 girls 2 boys. Nearly all of them tried suckling on the boys willies!!!!! so much so that I had to split them and get the boys treatment as they were so sore and swollen, bless them - never seen it again!! but def know what to do next time lol.

Re: kitten behavoir

I have dealt with a few similar cases when someone has kept a kitten from a litter and little one still trys to suckle from mum, both the last cases have resolved using feliway. I only tried treatment because mum was getting dermatitis because kitten was being so rough. It is usually more of a problem if the cat that is being suckled resents it.

Re: kitten behavoir

Not sure if this is the correct answer, but when I hand rear kitties they often did the same thing to my dogs. I can only think it is like a comfort blanket - it makes them feel safe as when they were feeding from mum!
