I was forced to do it back in the dark ages - hated it, - told my boss ( whose wife had recently sprogged) ' give us your kid and I will hack its thumbs off - dont worry its not old enough to feel it and it wont miss them!'

think he got the message!

One of our vets will do it but I refuse to help. No different to tail docking if you ask me!

We would do hind dew claw removal but not front ones, as the front ones are normally attached but the back ones not. However I seen a feww which the back ones have been attached and the vet rightly refused to take them off.

As I have posted on another thread I myself have refused to do these, tail docks and skin tagging!!!
