Its times like that you really dont want to be a first aider!

my lasting memory after the paramedics carted him away was the fact that his feet were sticking out through the prep room door and everybody had to keep stepping over them.

At least he survived my first aid!

Re: Gross!

had a lady throw up in middle of very busy waiting room before because she saw another clients dogs stiches! She then proceeded to after vomiting 4 times to go the reception and tell us its outragious that we could let such a revolting thing be on show in the practice when other people are around and we should have put the other client and dog in a room on their own! she then ordered the receptionist to clean it up as she was already traumatised enough! the poor receptionist did clean it up because she was new and didnt know what to do! I think if it was me I would have given her the bucket and cloth and told her to do it herself!

also yesterday had a man very nearly vom because his dog farted, I felt sorry for him but was quite entertained

Re: Gross!

eugh thats not good, dog sick is bad but people sick eugh

Re: Gross!

This boy gags all the time apparently and is really sensitive when he has anything in his mouth but has never gone this far before. My mum was holding a kidney dish in front of him whilst trying not to gag herself. She's been nursing for god knows how many years and it's never happened before. She had to drive home with the window open because it made her feel queasy lol

Re: Gross!

That's what happens when they fill the moulds with too much plaster! It slips down the throat and most children have very sensitive gag reflexes. She's lucky he didn't choke on his vomit!
