Yesterday was gross. One of the vets had PTS their own Great Dane and placed it in a medium bag in the mortuary (read chilled outside cupboard). Trouble was, a week later (was PTS just after bod man had been) she was still there but the bag had split. Cue big bloody stinking mess and alive with maggots. Other vet helpfully Indorexed them but didn't think to move them once dead or ask anyone else to do it. The next day, dead maggots, leaky bag and the worst death smell I've come across in ages.

Had to move 65kg of dead weight (with help), sweep the floor and then scrub the whole thing. I was literally up to my ankles in dead dog maggoty soup. Gross! Other nurses thought it was hilarious and gross in equal measures. (This is why I need minions!) Have you ever tried to get a massive dog into another bag whilst trying not to cover yourself in goo? I said some words even I didn't know I knew!

Re: poo on the hand!

had the most amazing anal gland impaction in a month ago - was the size of a grapefuit - was in a cavalier too, strangest thing was all the 'gunk' the vet expressed out didnt smell at all!

Re: poo on the hand!

I'm a big fan of acsesses aswell!
