So anyhow l am at the parat chute centre yesterday and today. Last night l was chatting to a dentist about this thread. She said she prefers the amalgam ones as she tooth grinds. She has had white and had to have them redone. The tooth grinding wore them down.

The problem with whites is apparently also that the chemicals in them can cause a reaction to the teeth and nerves. Lost track if anyone said that.

Nice dentist she asked me if it was just her dogs she used to have 2 weineramas that were totally insane. I reassured her no they are all off their rockers. She was actually relieved it wasn't her fault

Thanks......Someone else gave me that advice as well but at the end of the flower season, just as all the flowers that I had lovingly picked, were going brown in my fridge.............

substitute lemon juice or lemon concentrate - it does the same job - (see the recipe in Mrs Beetons)

I am hoping to make loads next year - esp if I dont get rid of all the elder that is closing in on the back garden again!

I love elderflower cordial... it is the best... hopefully will get round to making my own next year.. planned to this year but could't get hold of any citric acid... in most recipes you needed it.................

I'm having Pretzels & nutella!!! And a sneaky wee bottle of Black Tower rose!! Asda offer 3 for £4 felt I had to buy, even if it is just 1 glass in reality!!

It erupted because Steph and I have a history of falling out........ and as we have not for a while I guess it was overdue in some respects.

On the majority of posts we are friendly and sensible, but at times snide comments cant help themselves in spilling over, and in my defence I have ignored them, but today I am not in the mood ...... call it PMT call it what you want, but quite frankly I have had enough, so called her out on it, I actually dont care if she does not like it, personally i think she would have preferred my latter , ie ignore and demeen, but due to this it has become more and more common for snidey remarks...... ones that probably were hoped that I would either ignore or god forbid " NOT GET" sorry but no chance in this lfetime! I get them all and store for later so someone needs to think on

I apologise to sal, who put this thread up to warn others of dentists in this country etc. But I am not having some WEE lassie takin the piss in full view without defending myself, and said WEE lassie presumes to know me......... but all anyone on here knows about me is I am 40 married 2 daughters, and thats about it, I do not banday my personal life or feelings on here like some............. so all I will say is know yourself before you think you know me! oh yes and I am not someone who will take shit lying down..... but I guess you figured that already

do you live in some other world? i posted the whole blinkin thing Sandra! what ever you read into it though is what the problem was. did you not see all the :)'s? i even said i was biased! because my dad is a dentist and i'm from america which meant my opinion was skewed and that you have every right to yours and if it makes you happy that's all that matters!! so not really sure what was so derogatory? saying something is dated only means that it's not new! if you want to read that defensively go right ahead but that's putting words in my mouth and your problem not mine! lol even the following poster though you were being a bit harsh by commenting that this wasn't meant to start a fight! lol surely that should have been your cue to re-read it and not take it so defensively.

Dunno... and no it doesn't really tell me anything coming from a UK dentist. But I am a little bias! lol :D if you're happy with it then that's all that matters right? :)

Also gold fillings/foils and crowns are a bit dated and not very economical and can also cause allergic reactions in some people so they aren't used very often unless otherwise requested.
