My neighbours paid me £20 to squeeze their rabbits abscess for them! Their vet had shown them how to do but were to squeamish. I love doing it! lol

What about automatically assuming a scowling, manical face and a menacing cackle while stroking said visitor's beloved *insert animal here* and saying something like I have just the right sort of treatment for you my dear. Come down and meet my freezer/oven/4-wheel drive, etc.... Or, advocate euthanasia and free disposal for everything - even cat bite abscesses - while talking about the difficulties of obtaining affordable fur nowadays...

I heard of someone who was so nice once that her neighbours constantly invited themselves round for dinner but never repayed the favour. She eventually sorted the problem by letting them have dinner and then clearing the table, popping all the plates, etc on the floor for the dog to lick clean and then putting them away in the cupboards without washing - all in front of the horrified neighbours faces. They never came round again

I think its more of a 'get what you can and pay nothing'. These people are ones who I could meet on the road driving on a daily basis, and they dont acknowledge me. But, of course, when they need something done, they think they are my best friend.

Makes me so angry, but no need to worry - I wont be doing anything for them lol!

Mmmm not really Vicky, the last thing I want or need when I get home from work or enjoying a weekend off, is people who have no respect or consideration for my time and think they can arrive when they like and expect something for nothing

It never works that way though, I always send them to the local vet!

I even had a woman come to me once, we were building our house at the time and had a mobile home at the back, she had the cheek to come walking right through my new house and through the would be back door, asking me to clip her dogs nails - I said no as I had no clippers and advised her to go to vet, at which she replied, could I come with her to hold the dog in the car

I used to work in a pet shop that is next to asda. I bumped into one of the guys who i used to work with at the shop whilst in my nurse uniform in asda car park and he said "you work in there now then" nodding his head towards asda...my reply "no i do not!"! Nothing wrong with working in asda of course, but i was just starting nursing and very proud of it!

i once stopped at my local takeaway after work (was a late night) and was asked if i was in fancy dress?!!! Er...yes the authentic nurses dress/costume, the one covered in blood and hair!

hated going to asda for the practice shop, always got asked where the such and such was!!

i live 5min walk from work and the villages nearby are small enough to be a bad thing!! whichever supermarket i pick, whatever the time of day, i always get nabbed!! when i walk the dogs, they are told to be on their best behaviour cos i know i will get spotted by a client, squalking at my cocker to 'LET GO OF THAT DUCK'!! not good considering i run the training classes!!!!

aaaah I work on a busy street full of shops and going out to get your dinner is a nightmare. I'm collared every day by people asking me for advice and the price of stuff, I feel like turning round and saying why the hell can't you just go and ask at reception!

I've started walking past them shouting 'I'm on my dinner I only get 10 minutes!'

So glad I live 27 miles from work!

Remeber where i used to work we used to walk into town most lunchtimes, got stopped and asked 'do u work at that big vets at the end of such and such rd'

'yeah I do, why do u want to kno?'

'do those dogs ever shut up at night? Cos they are well noisy'

'yeah sometimes, you should try working in there with them barking!!!'

'Least you get to go home at night!'

'Well actually there is a nurse there all night, and try sleeping with that racket going on downstairs'

hahah that shut him up. Turned out he lived over the road from our place hehehehehe

I once was walking back from work with my uniform on and a client reconised me and she said "Do you have any poo bags as I have forgot mine" ahhhh the genral public irritate me!!!
