Aww that's rubbish you've been let down. I was supposed to get a dog a client was rehoming before i got Jack, had arranged everything and they changed their minds the day i was supposed to collect him! Was devastating. I have my gorgeous boy Jack now though so it turned out right in the end So there will be another kitty out there waiting for you. Poppy is a good name

yeah no doubt! I hated my Niamh's name at first but once we got her it just suited her! Shes a right little madame at times and the name just suits her!!

Quite excited though can't wait to get her!! Just hoping she gets on with my two but shes the perfect age - 18 months so about Niamhs age and younger than Luka! So should be ok! Heres hoping anywayss!

Nothing wrong with poppy it is a lovely name and it has a special meaning. However you will have changed the name in the next half hour. Sometimes it helps to just leave the name for a few days and you will find she falls into the right one.

She will prob suit Mia now and I wont call her Poppy!! Just really don't like Mia!!

In a roundabout way, it was because the only thing that grew in the killing fields of ww1 was poppys. They were blood red like the blood of those that fell and the poppy became a symbol of rememberance of those that fell in the madness of war.

looks a lot like one of my previous cats - she had a very original name 'spot' which my vet changed to 'snot'.

but putting that aside - how about Alice? (I am reading a book about Lewis Carrol at the mo )
