No i feel comfortable with the people i work with and when we're out of the public view we have a laugh and joke including some crude conversations. Having a laugh amongst friends make a stressful job easier.

hehe - we are fairly reserved at work, but thats more down to the people i work with than anything else - they are all fairly straight laced, and often don't 'get' my humour! at my previous practice tho, anything went!!! to the point of head nurse showing her newest ann summers purchase off to the prep room!!! and no, it wasn't lingere!

On the subject of fire engines, in my old practice, we weren't allowed to use the toaster downstairs as it set off the smoke alarm, which in turn, was linked to the fire station and the fire brigade would show.

So....... one really hectic day, pm off and no time to go upstairs and stand waiting to have toast, I had a bright idea of using toaster downstairs no, bad idea Paula, smoke/fire alarm went off.......................... you can guess the rest

My new practice, anything is ok as long as don't offend. Which is good especially as the fire engine goes past at least twice a week!!

Good god most of our chat revolves around utter filth. Only one person ever been pulled up on comments and to be honest he was being pretty offensive and not in a nice way. Other than that anything goes.

Hey when the senior vets is discussing love eggs in front of the work experieince, you do sometimes wonder if there should be rules. Especially when later on we were asked to explain to said 14yr old boy what love egss were. So wrong!

Not really, hence the rules lasted approximately half an hour. I really don't mind what the conversation is as long as noone gets offended.

we dont hug or kiss each other but most of us have a great laugh, we often talk about sex and are very cheeky to each other,

cant be too sensitive or else I would be too fat, ugly, talentless lass that couldnt pull in a brothel!

however some of the older vet dont join in, maybe a bit more civil in front of them. And the male vets are the worst!!!!

We talk about nearly everything at work we tend to avoid religion as two members of our staff are v.religious, our boss is v laid back and does join in in a lot of our conversations.
