Is there any difference to Propofol?
We have 10 bottles of Propofol then we're switching to the clear stuff... just wanted some feedback...

Propoclear also causes less discomfort in iv injection (doesnt feel as 'cold' or 'warm' cant remeber whihc been a long time since i had a GA) so less likley for a 'wimpy' patient to react ti injection.

Re: Propoclear

We've still not used propoclear.

PropoClear is a lipid free nano-droplet microemulsion

Contains 10mg/ml of active ingredient propofol

Target species: Dogs and cats

Crosses blood brain barrier rapidly

Rapidly distrubited within the body

Rapidly metabolised

Excreted in urine

Fast recovery

Potent short acting anaesthetic

must be used within 28 days once seal in broached (EU and US), 6mths AU

not to be used in patients ages <12 weeks

Product should be drawn up as required as drawing up and leaving in syringe may allow for bateria to accumulate

ensure product is clear prior to using

Can't find the bit about only being able to broach the seal ten times, but they have tested it up to 30 times with no effect, but am sure they suggested only broaching it ten times per bottle

Re: Propoclear

[quote user="Mrs Dot Dot"]
