iv got naturally wavy hair too, if i let it dry naturally everyone thinks iv had it done because i wear it like this so little!

my old straightner were remington - they were ok but not as fabby dabby as ghds, and whats more my hair stays straight rather than getting the wave above my shoulders haha

My first set off ghd's broke last year after 3 years hard use! I coudn't afford a new set so bought some cheap babyliss. My oh bought me some new ghd's about a week later cos I was so grumpy Think spoilt brat having a tantrum

I seriously dont think I could live without my ghd's, they have transformed my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I'm very sad

I picked up this tip also,

Try a home remedy to keep hair straight. Mix equal parts fresh, grated coconut and lime juice. Massage the mixture into your hair and let it sit for approximately 20 minutes. Rinse the mixture out and straighten your hair as you normally would. The coconut and lime concoction will coat hair shafts, resulting in straighter hair.

I have one of those round brushes, and a paddle brush lol!!

Buy one of those round brushes the hairdressers have and when your drying it use that it really helps my hair! if not seperate layers in your hair when your straightning it so you only have really tiny sections.

I am useless when it comes to hair, I think I have no patience.

I love to wear mine in a ponytail but can never get it straight enough like the way my hairdresser can do it. My hair is naturally wavy.

Anyone got any foolproof tips?

I LOVE MINE! They are the purple limited edition ones, only got them a yr ago but they are amazing! cost me £145 but so worth it! they came in a gorgeous case which had a hair dryer aswell!

it did worry me a little but really chuffed now they are here. I was going up the stairs with them thinking 'I love you' heehee

think my old ones have been crap for ages though and were not doing thier job properly

thats a real bargain! Mine stopped working last year, they were only 2 years old, I had to send them back to GHD and they were irrepairable so had to buy a new pair which cost me £90

I don't like the GHD ones for straightening, only for curling! I have the make Fransen Futura for straightners & keep the GHDs for curling!!

Woah! That's well good! I shelled out £90 two weeks ago for a new pair!! My old ones died after 4 and a half years and I couldn't possibly wait for an internet delivery so went and bought some new ones on the same day :P They are soooo good though and totally worth the money!

I love my GHDs though am needing a new pair soon, mine are 7 years old and nearing their end I think! There are a couple of sites where you can check the authenticity of websites sellings GHDs as many sell fakes so this is some reassurance when buying online.
