Does anyone have a grading system they could let me have a copy of? I.e how do you decide which need to have a dental?

Used to get solution in a bottle but cant seem to get that or find that for some reason. There are various disclosing swabs- think virbac make them or kruusse, not overly sure. The name 'ident-swabs' sticks in my brain.

It helps if you get all the practice on board and saying the same thing and get the pets when they are young.

Never thought of that but never had a problem as we tended to bang on to clients about how quickly plaque reforms prior to the pet coming in for a dental so they were aware of it which helps. But yes you are right,there will always be clients that will have some issue.

Can't say I'm a massive fan of dentistry if I'm honest, just doesn't really interest me!! I know that sounds odd seeing as I'm setting up dental clinics but don't mind this aspect.

Can anyone send me a copy of their grading system and/ or checklist? Sorry I know it's really cheeky!

Be careful with disclosing solution, as plaque starts to build up even 8 hours after a dental and I've had stupid clients who have accused us of not doing the dental properly!!!

as far as getting people in for nurse consults, you could try offering a free nurse appt before a routine booster appt?? this way you guys can do the dental check before the vet does the bst and you can get to work with dental advice!

we use a diary to put reminders in 3 months after a client has had a check, we then phone them at the time to remind them to come in- usually book in whilst on the phone and so on. this works well as we found the reminders that we sent through the post were 'forgotten' about!!

we use a grading system of 1-5 which have pics and descriptions that we made ourselves.

Hi!

If you speak to your Royal Canin Business Manager they can arrange samples and we have just reprinted and updated the Mouth Matters booklet with dental charts and forms for nurse checkups. They can also help you with the mailout!
