We do most neuters at 5-6 months. However we do alot of CP work & we do theirs at 10-12wks - ferals & friendlys!

We neuter at 6 months, if clients want it done earlier VS will check them over to see if they are happy to do it.

haha ye its my fav!! It's like they just froze cos they saw me watching makes me giggle! I think they were fighting over why he cnt clean her ears while she sleeps!! lol!

My little niamh is the same, got her done at 6 months, she was always small then we got her spayed and she grew a bit put on some weight but theres no way she look 14 months! Compared to my Luka she is tiny!! She don't stand a chance when he plays with her!!

we do them at 5-6 months but have done some rspca 'wild' kittens at 8wks or so before. turned out they tamed them and a receptionist took a couple, both normal sized, couple of yrs old now and no probs.

Back to the dark days of GP we used to neuter at the age of 6mths and this is when I got Batfink done

The problem is simple. How do you know whatever happens is as a result of neutering? If the animal was not neutered who is to say the same thing wouldn't have happenened.

I had my boy done at 5 months and he is now 8.3kg (and on a diet!!!) should be about 7 - 7.5kg so def didnt stunt his growth!!!!

my youngest got done at 6 months and she has stayed small and kitten like tho this might be down to her HCM

Depending on the weight and development of the cat between 4 and 6mths. My boys were just done at 15wks and were just over 2kg. they both did smashing and had great recovery.

edit typed to fast i meant mths not wks with the 4-6mths! lol

5-6 months usually here too. Though have had some kittens in at 12 weeks or so for neutering when rehomed through rescues.
