I want to watch french bullfighting.It is in the Camargue (sp) The bulls have ribbons between very sharp horns, the picadors have to cut them off using a very sharp small knife in the palm of their hand. The nearer the horn the more money they get.

The bulls have big fan bases. When a bout is ended another calm bull is sent in to settle the excited one down and lead him out, only sometimes it goes whoops and another bull is sent in to try and calm the 2 crazy hot heads down.

It sounds great fun and the only ones hurt are the picadores who have to avoid horns and not always lucky. Have seen excerts on tv in the past and read about it.

The reason police aint going after badger baitiers or ppl who fight wiv dogs is cos there isn't any money in it. I understand what you mean, Nick, however, money shouldnt come into it, its about right from wrong and stopping cruelty to these wild animals

A word here for the police. Do not blame the average street copper most of them do not want to do what they are pushed to doing. Blame the chief insp and other politics that only look to the league tables and block proper police work.

Police are leaving the uk to go overseas where they can do what they want to--- help people stop crime and not like in uk be kick targets for politicos and the public.

sorry loopylou I have not signed the petition - but I feel I need to explain why. I do not agree with bullfighting I think it is abhorrent but I would not feel happy putting my name to anything which is associated with PETA. I was a supporter for years and stopped being one because I became very concerned with some of their tactics /terrorism - I know there are some good people who support them and I also know there are some idiots who commit crimes using their PETA association unfortunately the same can be said of BUAV - sadly its the idiots that make the papers.

I also think until we put our own house in order we should be careful about condemning practices in other countries. Running a horse till it drops - shouldnt be allowed? but it is - I have seen the state of some of the finishers (and non finishers) esp at Aintree after the National. Fox hunting with dogs was banned in this country - has it stopped fox hunting with dogs? if you think it has then you have been sadly mislead. Hare coursing - its illegal isnt it? - still goes on. Badger baiting again something else that is illegal - still happens. Dog fighting - how many of you have seen the resulting wounds from a dog fight? *** fighting - again still happens.

So I agree with you bullfighting should be stopped and I am not having a pop at you by not signing your petition and posting this lot but I thought I should just give an explanation rather than just say no.

was there not a british person who died this year who was involved in a bull fight? As sad it may sound I have no sympathy for him, these are such inteligent animals who do not deserve this treatment!

I learnt from tenerife tv always watch bullfighting on the news cause the fighters get hurt/horned and ripped it is great. No l do not like bull fighting but l do like seeing the ******* who cause some of the pain (there is a whole like of pain causers) getting hurt

When I was on holiday in July I saw a clip on the Spanish news about bull fighting. I had no idea how distusting it was, was frightful to watch and the fact that before hand they let them run loose in the street while people ran away. Then the people were moaning (or I ashume they were as I don't speak Spanish) about being horned!!
