2 qualified and 2 trainee with 2 or sometimes 1 vet in each day.

We have 6 QVNs, 1 of which is part time and 1 of which is on maternity leave. 1 second year trainee, 1 first year trainee and 1 ANA. Also have 3 vets.

I hear ya hun. I feel awful as I'm having to leave the other two for a wedding the other end of the country. One's having to work 8-7 and the other 9-7 on instead of having a half day for working the weekend. My boss even asked if it was possible for me not to go. Umm no, the bride is one of my closest friends and I'm a witness. Cheek!

I'm not a happy bunny at the moment we are soooo short staffed its unreal. 2 full time and 1 part time.

We are having to work busy shifts on our own otherwise me and the other nurse would have to work 11 hour shifts all day every day!!!

Not enough!

Two and a half vets. One VN, one SVN and one general helper (only for the summer). Two part time evening only receptionists.

We've had a tough time staff wise over the last few months. We've had two long term staff members leave to be replaced by noobs with no experience. One of the noobs turned out to be a comulsive liar and couldn't be bothered to come to work. The other has recently left for a job closer to home. Let's hope we can find someone keen, reliable and trustworthy soon!

At main branch we have 4 RVN's, 2 student VN's, 1 receptionsit/practice manager (ex VN), 4 vets although one is the partner and he only works mornings and doesnt do out of hours, smallest branch 1 vet and 3 part-time receptionists (one of whom is ex EVN), then at other branch there are 2 vets and 2 VN's/receptionists.

1 Senior Surgery nurse (well soon to have)
1 Senior Ward nurse
2 FT ward nurses
2 PT ward nurses
2 FT Surgery Nurses
1 PT surgery nurse
1 imaging nurse
1 cardiology nurse
1 dermatology nurse
1 FT oncology nurse
1 PT oncology nurse
1 Internal medicine nurse
1 Soft tissue nurse (soon to be on maternity)
1 orthopaedic nurse
1 ICU nurse
1 Pharmacy nurse
1 theraputic radiogographer (for radiotherapy)
3 2nd yr SVN's
1 1st yr SVN
1 animal care student
6 auxillaries

total of 32 nurse type people

and goodness knows how many vets!!!!

We have 9 vets to our 10 nurses which works well when everyone is there but this is rare!! We have 4 nurses on theatre, 1 on sedations, blood tests and x-rays, 1 on admitting, discharging and dispensing, 3 on ward and kennel assistant doing the washing and cleaning kits and things like that.

Working where I am now is a dream compared to where I used to work

We have a pharmacy nurse, kennels, ops 1, ops 2, float nurse.

So 1 Head nurse, 4 full time nurses, 2 part time - though 1 on maternity leave and 1 animal care assistant.

We are seldom lucky enough to have all nurses at one time though due to shifts and time off etc

we have 7 vets thou so we are a bit thin on the ground! 1x nurse HVN and 1x nurse PM, plus two nurse pregnant so plenty they are unable to do

We've got four of us. Me being the only one who is training or any where near being qualified.
