 I&amp;#39;m on antibiotics, ibuprofen and painkillers. 
 Does anyone have any other remedies that might help me? &lt;p&gt;thats the thing am sure the doc said!! i get every few months ahh!!! its horrible and hurts like hell!!! Lucky i have lempsips, paracetomol and ibruprofen on hand &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/emotion-2.gif" alt="Big Smile" /&gt; don&amp;#39;t go to docs anymore just don&amp;#39;t see point!&lt;/p&gt;

If it is any consolation once you hit about 40 you find it comes about 1 or 2 times a year as opposed to multiXXXXXXX a year. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is horrid l agree. I must be due a dose not had any for about a year and l have been on tenderhooks as have been getting a sore throat in the evening. Was meant to mean being ill less ofcourse it didnt!! You can get somethin really similar to tonsilitus even when there removed but can&amp;#39;t mind what my doctor called it!! &lt;/p&gt;

I find that even though it sounds really horrible and cruel eating dry toast does really help even through it hurts like hell to start with, the more you eat the easier it becomes trust me. I also find that i swear by lempsip flu strength drunk when as hot as you can manage offers relief for at least an hr also i&amp;#39;m bad and take neurofen at the same time it helps you sleep.&lt;/p&gt;
