My cat is currently fed felix pouches (1 bid) and go cat dried food ad lib. Recently he has been leaving his wet food to the extent that it is smelling.
i also like the fact that as things are - they aint fussy - they will eat anything (because it was the food they were given or go hungry!), so hopefully, if they are ever in need of a px diet, they will eat it with no qualms

my thoughts anyway - and what i quite often tell owners ( who usually offer their pets about 3 different brands of renal diet at once, after they have eaten tuna all their life, and are then surprised when they won't eat it!)

Re: Cat food

Freckle, so long as your cats are happy and healthy on what you are feeding them, then no problems!!

My cat was a stray so not to sure on age-i would say 3-4 years old. He is neutered and goes outside but is chunky. Im still thinking of trying him on hills as my practice sells that so i can get it cheap, i was thinking iams but put off by the urinary problems now.

I may still continue giving him 1 pouch of felix daily for the water content, do you think this is a good idea? With him going outside he doesn't use a litter tray and i never see him drinking so would be for peace and mind really.

He is a fussy eater and won't eat any wet food other than some of the felix flavours. I am screwed if they ever stop making this food! he used to eat the chicken and the tuna versions but will now only eat the chicken version. Both neutered males one is a 'bit chunky' and the other a nice weight because of his self imposed restrictive diet. During the summer the 'wet' cat gets only a sachet a day split over 2 meals and I have found this is enough to keep him happy whilst cutting down on the waste and the flies

Natures Best gets the thumbs up from us , bit expensive but havnt had any problems. I have found that it is difficult to get a cat off it once you start down this road tho (my friends who I have rehomed kitties to will back me up on this)
